Several hundred people gathered in New York outside the Federal District Court of the Southern District in support of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. Footage from the scene of the January 5 events is published by Izvestia.

According to Izvestia correspondent Nikolai Masterov, formally this court has nothing to do with international politics, and its jurisdiction covers only a part of New York.

"Nevertheless, this court is one of the oldest and has a rich history. Here, in particular, the case of the wreck of the Titanic was considered. Now it is within these walls that the case of Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, will be considered," the correspondent shared.
