Boxing champion Dvali underwent nine operations after being beaten in Crimea
European boxing champion Dmitry Dvali, who suffered a serious eye injury after being beaten in Crimea, managed to save his eye. This was reported on January 5 by RIA Novosti with reference to the athlete.
"At the moment, there have already been nine operations: seven of them on the eye, one on the nose, and one on the bones," Dvali said.
The athlete noted that he had been undergoing treatment both in Russia and abroad. According to him, all possible treatment options have been tried.
Dvali's beating became known on August 3, 2024. A criminal case was opened into the incident. All nine participants in the mass brawl were identified and detained shortly after the incident.
On December 22, it was reported that seven residents of Feodosia who had beaten Dvali were sentenced in Crimea to terms ranging from 1.5 years to three years and eight months in a penal colony.
