In Yelets, Lipetsk region, a woman suffered barotrauma when the wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) fell. This was announced on January 5 by the governor of the region Igor Artamonov.

"In Yelets, UAV debris hit several apartment buildings. One woman was injured — she has barotrauma," Artamonov wrote on his Telegram channel.

The victim was hospitalized, she is receiving all necessary medical care. According to preliminary information, there are no other victims. The head of the region added that several houses in Yelets were damaged by the wreckage of the drone. Specialists are currently examining the area and are engaged in the disposal of debris.

On the same day, two civilians were injured as a result of drone attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Belgorod region. In the city of Grayvoron, a drone attacked a truck parked near a trade facility, injuring the driver. The soldiers took the man in extremely serious condition to Grayvoronskaya CRH. The second attack took place in the village of Belyanka in the Shebekinsky district, where a drone also hit a truck. His driver suffered a closed craniocerebral injury and shrapnel wounds.
