A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. In the Kharkiv direction, units of the enemy's mechanized brigade and the air defense brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Volchansk Farms and Grafskoye in the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian army lost up to 290 soldiers, a tank, four armored combat vehicles, 15 cars and field artillery guns. Three electronic warfare (EW) stations and six ammunition and materiel depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have also been eliminated.

Units of the Western Grouping of Russian troops occupied more advantageous lines and positions and defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized assault brigades of the Ukrainian army and the National Guard brigade in the areas of Krasny Liman, Ilyichevka, Alexandrovka, Drobyshevo in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), as well as in the areas of Kupyansk-Uzlovoye, Blagodatovka and Staroverovka in the Kharkiv region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reached more than 180 military personnel, four armored combat vehicles, four ammunition depots and 15 vehicles.

Units of the South group of forces improved their position along the front line and hit the formations of two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the air defense brigade and the National Guard brigade in the areas of the settlements of Krivaya Luka, Malinovka, Vasyutinskoye, Stepanovka, Minkovka, Zakotnoye and Konstantinovka in the DPR. The Ukrainian army lost over 180 militants, three armored combat vehicles, four artillery pieces, a tank and 21 vehicles.

Meanwhile, units of the Russian Center group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions and hit the manpower and equipment of two mechanized, infantry, amphibious assault, airmobile brigades, two enemy assault regiments, marine brigades, air defense brigades and National Guard brigades in the areas of Grishino, Torsky, Novoaleksandrovka, Dobropolye, Belitsky, Toretsky in the DPR, as well as Novopodgorodny and Novopavlovka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy's losses amounted to over 350 soldiers, 12 armored combat vehicles and six pickups.

The units of the Eastern Group of Forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Russian military personnel defeated the manpower and equipment of a mechanized assault brigade, two assault regiments of the Ukrainian army and a defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Tsvetkovo, Zaliznichnoye, Vozdvizhevka in the Zaporizhia region and Bratskoye in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 220 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle and two cars.

Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of the mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the areas of Orekhov, Belogorye, Novoyakovlevka in the Zaporizhia region and Antonovka in the Kherson region. Up to 45 Ukrainian soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, two field artillery guns, 10 vehicles and an electronic warfare station were eliminated.
