A unique test system for the rapid detection of oncological diseases can be created in Russia within three years. This was announced on January 5 by Lyudmila Tekutyeva, director of the FEFU Advanced Engineering School.

"The laboratories of the Advanced School of Engineering (PISH) are working on creating an enzyme test system for rapid detection of cancers," she said in an interview with TASS.

According to her, unique marine microorganisms capable of producing strong alkaline phosphatase enzymes have been discovered, which are applicable in test systems for rapid cancer diagnosis.

Marina Sekacheva, Director of the Institute of Personalized Oncology at the First Moscow State Medical University, MD, Professor, said on January 1 that 2025 was one of the most significant periods for global and Russian oncology.
