The most profitable vacation months in 2026 will be July, April, September, October and December. This was announced on January 5 by the expert of the Presidential Academy Tatiana Podolskaya.

"The most profitable vacation months for employees working under the five—day workweek salary system in 2026 will be July (23 working days), April, September, October and December (22 working days)," she said in an interview with TASS.

According to the expert, January will be the most unprofitable month for vacations, since this month the minimum number of working days is only 15. Podolskaya explained that the more working days in a month, the lower the pay for one day worked (salary is divided by the number of working days). Therefore, it is beneficial for employees to take vacations in the months with the maximum number of working days.

The school management fears that it will be necessary to recover the funds paid for the rest if the teacher does not work for a year.
