American documentary filmmaker Reginald Tremblay, who moved to Crimea, announced on January 5 that he intends to apply for Russian citizenship.

"I've been wanting to get Russian citizenship for almost six years now, ever since I moved to Crimea, as I'm going to stay here to live forever. Therefore, I intend to send a petition to Russian President Vladimir Putin to obtain a Russian passport," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
