Denmark urged Trump to refrain from talking about Greenland joining the United States

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen strongly recommended to the head of the White House, Donald Trump, to refrain from further statements about the inclusion of Greenland in the United States. This was reported on January 4 by the Reuters news agency, citing a statement from the politician.

"It makes no sense to say that the United States needs to take Greenland under its control. The United States has no right to annex any of the three parts of the Danish Kingdom. Therefore, I urge the United States to stop threatening a historically close ally and against another country and another people who have clearly stated that they are not for sale," Frederiksen said.
