Russia's air transport system demonstrates resilience to outside interference attempts. This was announced on January 4 by the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artem Korenyako.

"129 aircraft on arrival and departure served the airports of the Moscow region — Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky — from 18:00 to 20:00 Moscow time today (Sunday, January 4). The country's air transport system demonstrates resilience to outside interference attempts," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also noted that specialists from the Russian Ministry of Transport, Rosaviation and Rostransnadzor are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of civil aviation.

Rosaviatsia also denied information about passenger congestion, queues and hundreds of delayed flights, calling such publications incorrect and accompanied by archived videos. Korenyako also urged passengers to trust only official sources and professional media.

Earlier in the day, flight restrictions were imposed at Vnukovo Airport. Later, Korenyako clarified that Vnukovo Airport accepts and sends flights in coordination with the relevant authorities, and after a while the restrictions were completely lifted.

Restrictions at Zhukovsky Airport were also introduced earlier that day, but they were later lifted.
