The cause of death of actress Berezovets-Skachkova was a long illness.
According to The Voice Mag, Skachkova began undergoing chemotherapy in April 2024, and later underwent surgery. In February 2025, the actress announced that she had terminal cancer.
The actress made her last post on her personal blog on September 2, 2025.
"Today I really want to thank everyone who supports me and helps me financially. I never thought that I would find myself in such a situation, I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but no one is immune here. I really need this kind of help right now. Unfortunately... Thanks to your help, I can be treated and, without exaggeration, I am still alive!"— said Skachkova.
