Air defense systems destroyed the 24th unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flying to Moscow. This was announced on January 4 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"Another drone flying to Moscow was destroyed by the Defense Ministry's air defense system," Sobyanin wrote on the MAX messenger.

He clarified that emergency services specialists are working at the crash site.

The drone can detect targets, being invulnerable to many air defense systems.

Earlier, Sobyanin reported on the destruction of six drones flying to Moscow. Prior to that, the air defense forces destroyed two UAVs heading towards the capital. In addition, another drone was shot down earlier on its approach to Moscow. Later, seven more UAVs were eliminated.
