Norwegian Klebo sets a record for the most Tour de Ski wins

On January 4, Norwegian skier Johannes Klebo became the record holder for the number of victories in the Tour de Ski multi-day, winning the overall standings of the prestigious competition for the fifth time.

In the final stage in Val di Fiemme, Klebo took 12th place, clocking a total time of 1 hour 56 minutes 12.4 seconds. The second and third places were taken by his compatriots Mattis Stenshagen and Harald Amundsen.

Klebo is a five-time Olympic champion, five-time World Cup winner and the record holder for the number of gold medals at the World Championships among skiers (15 wins). Russian skier Savely Korostelev became the fourth at the final stage of the uphill mass start, covering a distance of 10 km in 33:50.9.

On December 29, Korostelev took ninth place in the 10 km classic style race at the Tour de Ski World Cup. It was noted that this was the first time in his career to reach the top 10 at the World Cup.
