NYT learned about Maduro's rejection of the US offer to seek asylum in Turkey

At the end of December 2025, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro rejected an ultimatum from his American counterpart Donald Trump, who suggested that he voluntarily resign from the post of head of state and move to Turkey. The New York Times (NYT) writes about this on January 4.
