One person was killed and one injured in a missile strike in the Belgorod region.
During a missile strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the city of Grayvoron, Belgorod region, a soldier of the Orlan unit was killed, and another civilian was injured. This was announced on January 4 by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.
Gladkov expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the military man personally and all residents of the region.
"The soldier was taken to Grayvoronskaya CRH by his colleagues in a serious condition. Doctors fought for his life to the last, but the consequences of his injuries turned out to be incompatible with life," he said in his Telegram channel.
The man, who received multiple shrapnel wounds, is being treated at the hospital. His condition is assessed as serious. After stabilization, the victim will be transferred to the regional clinical hospital.
As a result of the arrival of enemy shells, Gladkov added, the facades and glazing of an administrative building, a social facility, and six private houses were damaged. Three cars were hit by shrapnel.
As a result of the attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Belgorod region on the same day, two civilians were injured, cars and power lines were damaged. One of the men received multiple shrapnel wounds to his head, chest and legs. The other suffered a mine explosion injury, as well as a shrapnel wound to his back.
