Analyst Miller announced the possible isolation of Maduro from his wife in jail.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Celia Flores, who were captured by the United States and brought to New York, can be placed in separate cells in a pre-trial detention center. This was announced on January 4 by CNN law enforcement and intelligence analyst John Miller.
"Both will be imprisoned under special administrative measures, kept under strict guard and possibly isolated from each other," he is quoted as saying in a TV channel publication.
According to the expert, the couple will have to go through a number of mandatory procedures: to be fingerprinted and photographed. In the future, their data will be entered into the US Customs and border control system.
Another interlocutor of the TV channel, who preferred not to disclose his name, clarified that the wife of the Venezuelan president was sent for an additional medical examination.
Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Celia Flores, were captured and taken out of their country after the United States successfully launched a large-scale strike on Venezuelan territory on January 3. The plane with them landed in New York, from where they were taken under police escort to a detention center in Brooklyn. The New York Post (NYP) newspaper on the same day reported on a video in which the Venezuelan president, whose hands were handcuffed, wished everyone good night and wished them a Happy New Year.
