About 55 thousand households in the southwest of Berlin were left without electricity
About 45,000 families and 2.2 thousand businesses in southwestern Berlin were left without electricity due to a fire on a cable bridge. This was announced on January 3 by the press service of the Berlin Energy Network (SB).
"The cause was a fire on a cable-stayed bridge over the Teltow Canal near the Lichterfelde power plant. As a result, several cables were damaged. The fire has been extinguished," the operator said in a statement.
