Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, manager of the opera company Mamta Ulybin has passed away.

Honored Artist of Russia, soloist and director of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theater Opera Company Roman Ulybin has died. This was announced on Saturday evening, January 3, on the theater's website.

"We regret to inform you about the sudden death of Roman Gennadyevich Ulybin, the leading soloist of the opera, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, director of the MAMT Opera Company," the statement said.

It is noted that Ulybin, who graduated from the Faculty of Musical Theater of the Russian Institute of Theatrical Art GITIS, continued the best traditions of the theater.

Over the years of his work at MAMTa, he has created over 25 roles, and his repertoire includes dozens of characters from classical works, such as Farlaf from the opera Ruslan and Lyudmila by Mikhail Glinka, Mephistopheles from Faust by Charles Gounod, and Gremin from the lyrical opera Eugene Onegin by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

The theater's press service offered sincere condolences to the artist's family, friends and relatives, and also clarified that the time and place of his farewell would be announced additionally on their website.
