Zelensky invited former Defense Minister Shmygal to become energy minister

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has invited former Defense Minister Denis Shmygal to head the Ministry of Energy. This was announced on January 3 by the Ukrainian leader himself.

"We have held consultations with Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, and I count on the support of parliamentarians <...> for the position of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy for Denis Shmygal," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
