Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces demonstrated their work with the Kub UAV in the Krasnolimansk area

On January 3, fighters of the Zapad group of forces told Izvestia about working with Kub unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Krasnolimansk area of the special military operation (SVO) and showed the drone in action.

This UAV helps Russian military personnel in achieving their goals, it is capable of carrying more than 3 kg of explosives and is equal in power to a small cannon. The drone can penetrate into the most secluded places, as the head of the UAV crew with the call sign Radon said, the fighters of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the temporary deployment point of the Ukrainian militants with an accurate hit on the target.

In addition, the servicemen showed Izvestia correspondent Stanislav Grigoriev how the drone works in combat conditions.

"All this time, the feeling of anxiety does not leave us. Because our enemy is very stubborn, very attentive, and can observe <...> from above," Grigoriev said.

According to a fighter of the Russian Armed Forces with the call sign Psycho, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) use a lot of fiber, as well as kamikaze drones, which can fly about 10 pieces per day. He added that the military has found a way to deal with this, they cut the cables with scissors.

On January 1, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that the calculation of FPV drones of the 5th Separate Guards Tank Brigade of the Vostok group of forces had discovered and eliminated six heavy hexacopters of the Baba-Yaga type of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporizhia region in a week.
