Lawyer warned about fines for selling pyrotechnics to children
The sale of pyrotechnic products to persons under the age of 16 may result in administrative fines of up to 40 thousand rubles, and in some cases, criminal liability. This was announced on January 3 by a member of the Union of lawyers and bloggers on the basis of the Moscow State Law Institute. Kutafina at the Russian Bar Association Ivan Kurbakov.
"The seller is brought to administrative responsibility and punished with fines for selling pyrotechnics to persons under the age of 16, except in cases where the manufacturer has set other age restrictions," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
According to Kurbakov, individuals for the illegal sale of pyrotechnics face a fine of up to 2 thousand rubles, officials — up to 4 thousand rubles, and legal entities — up to 40 thousand rubles.
In addition, in some cases, it is possible to confiscate products, suspend the activities of an organization, or revoke a license if the sale was carried out by a licensed entity.
The lawyer stressed that the sale of pyrotechnics is allowed only if there is a certificate of conformity. Sellers are required to check documents confirming the age of the buyer, ensure safe conditions for the storage and sale of products, as well as instruct on the rules of their safe use.
