Guardsman Private Abramov shot down kamikaze drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and evacuated a wounded comrade

The gunner of the anti-aircraft missile squad, Private Dmitry Abramov, acting as part of an anti-aircraft missile crew and performing a combat mission to cover Russian armored vehicles, destroyed kamikaze drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and also rescued a wounded comrade, bringing him to an evacuation point at a distance of 2.5 km. This was announced on Saturday, January 3, by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

So, while riding an ATV through an open area during the next departure, Private Abramov discovered approaching enemy kamikaze drones. Quickly getting his bearings, he opened fire on them, as a result of which the drones exploded in the air and did not reach the position of the tank of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Then, as specified in the department, having reached the closed firing position, the crew, which included Abramov, continued to cover the tank. However, one enemy drone bypassed the calculation from the opposite side and struck at the personnel of the anti-aircraft missile crew. As a result, one soldier was injured. Abramov immediately provided first aid to the wounded man.

After that, the guard soldier moved to a safe distance from his wounded comrade and continued to repel the drone attack: with accurate shots from standard weapons, he destroyed three more UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and then with an accurate shot eliminated another device. After completing the combat mission and replacing the crew, Dmitry carried one of his wounded comrades to the evacuation point, which was 2.5 km away.

The Ministry of Defense noted that thanks to the decisive actions and the ability to assume responsibility of the guard of the corporal, not only the assigned combat tasks were completed, but also the lives of comrades were saved.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told about the feat of Corporal Vyacheslav Chizhov, who successfully completed the combat mission to capture enemy positions in the area of one of the settlements.

Commanding an assault group operating under constant artillery fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, he showed military savvy, which allowed his unit to overcome enemy minefields and covertly approach the Ukrainian stronghold from the flank.

Taking advantage of the suddenness, Chizhov gave the order to storm. Having broken into the enemy's position with small arms fire, Corporal Chizhov personally eliminated two Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters. In total, seven Ukrainian militants were killed by the assault group.

The ministry stressed that thanks to Chizhov's courage and professionalism, as well as the well-coordinated work of the assault group, the enemy stronghold was captured, which made it possible to liberate one of the settlements in the future.

A day earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of junior Sergeant Roman Golubin and Private Gennady Chernov. It was noted that Golubin destroyed two Ukrainian Baba Yaga drones in the area of the special military operation, which ensured the safety of the Russian Armed Forces units, and Chernov eliminated the calculation of the Ukrainian "nomadic mortar," which in turn contributed to the unhindered delivery of ammunition, food and property to Russian units.
