The fortune of Russia's richest businessmen increased by almost $24 billion in 2025. This follows from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI) rating published on January 2.

In total, the BBI ranking includes the 500 richest people in the world, and it now includes 20 Russian citizens.

For example, according to the agency, Russian businessman Alisher Usmanov was able to earn $6.04 billion over the past year, as a result, his fortune is estimated at $19.3 billion, and the fortune of the founder of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK) Iskander Makhmudov increased by $4.75 billion, reaching $7.88 billion.

In addition, Pavel Durov, an entrepreneur and founder of the Telegram messenger, earned $3.38 billion in 2025, and his fortune amounted to $14.4 billion.

Businessman Mikhail Fridman suffered the greatest losses. According to Bloomberg, his fortune decreased by $4.7 billion, to $10.1 billion.

Forbes magazine reported on December 19 that American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk became the first person in history with a fortune exceeding $700 billion. It was noted that the second richest man in the world is the co-founder of the American technology company Google, Larry Page, with $253 billion.
