Friends of those killed in the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on Khorly called the incident a personal tragedy.

A married couple who lost close friends during an attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a cafe and hotel in Khorlakh, Kherson region, said that the incident was a personal tragedy for them. They told Izvestia about this on January 2.

"It touched me very much, because it is a personal tragedy, because the owners of this whole complex are our close friends <...> It hurts a lot, no one expected it. In the first few minutes, we learned about this tragedy. <...> It hurts a lot, it's a cynical blow, it's a hard blow, you can't forgive that, of course," said Alina, a resident of Genichesk.

According to another resident of the city, Sergey, the hotel that was damaged in the drone attack was a center for family holidays and holidays for many years, adding that they celebrated the New Year there, gathered with friends and children.

On January 1, the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo, announced the attack of three drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a cafe and a hotel in the village of Khorly, Kherson region. A criminal case on the terrorist attack has been opened on the fact of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike.

On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin heard a report from Balance on the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike and on the progress of investigative actions. Later, he agreed that the crime was similar to the burning of people in Odessa on May 2, 2014.
