Medvedev commented on Budanov's appointment as head of the office of the President of Ukraine.

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, commented on the appointment of Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR) (listed in the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist), to the post of head of the office of the president of the country, ironically stating that this was "an excellent choice."
