The UN Secretary General declared the unacceptability of attacks on civilians after the attack on the Horl

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said he was concerned about the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Khorly, Kherson region. This was announced on January 2 by his representative Stefan Dujarric to RIA Novosti.

"Attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure are prohibited by international law. Wherever they occur, they are unacceptable and must be stopped," he said.

Guterres also called for a ceasefire in Ukraine, Dujarric added.

On January 1, the Governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, announced the attack of three drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a cafe and a hotel in the village of Khorly, Kherson region. According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, 27 people, including two children, became victims of the attack. A criminal case on the terrorist attack has been opened on the fact of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike.

On January 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin heard a report by Baldo on the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike and on the progress of investigative actions. Later, he agreed that the crime was similar to the burning of people in Odessa on May 2, 2014.
