The air defense forces destroyed a drone in the sky over the Penza region

The Air Defense Forces have eliminated one Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the sky over the Penza region. This was announced on January 2 by the governor of the region Oleg Melnichenko.

"An unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down on the territory of the Penza region by the Air Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

According to Melnichenko, no one was injured in the incident. Specialists are working at the crash site.

The drone can detect targets, being invulnerable to many air defense systems.

On January 1, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the air defense forces destroyed 201 enemy drones in the sky over the territory of Russia in seven hours. It is specified that 51 of them were destroyed in the sky over the Belgorod region, 36 more in the sky over the Bryansk region.
