- The United States assessed the possibility of negotiations with Kiev after the attack on Putin's residence
Kiev cannot be considered as a negotiating partner after the attempted attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was announced on December 31 by former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter.
"The current Ukrainian government cannot be considered as a negotiating partner," Ritter said on his Facebook page (ex. Twitter).
At the same time, he stressed that the current Kiev government should be eliminated, as it currently looks more like a terrorist organization. According to him, the head of the White House, Donald Trump, understands this.
On January 1, Viktor Medvedchuk, the former leader of the Opposition Platform — For Life party banned in Ukraine, chairman of the council of the Other Ukraine movement, said that Zelensky's fear of imminent defeat and criminal responsibility prompted him to commit an attack on Putin's residence. In his message, he recalled that the Ukrainian leader, in a congratulatory address to the nation before the Catholic Christmas on December 25, 2025, openly declared his intention to eliminate the president of the Russian Federation.
