Junior Sergeant Golubin shot down one drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and destroyed the second one with a battering ram in his area.

Junior Sergeant Roman Golubin, an operator of copter-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), carrying out reconnaissance tasks, destroying manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), destroyed two Ukrainian Baba Yaga drones in the area of a special military operation. This was announced on Friday, January 2, by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The ministry clarified that Golubin, who is also responsible for the delivery of food, medicines and materiel to both Russian military personnel and civilians, discovered two Ukrainian Baba-Yaga hexacopters heading towards the positions of Russian troops while conducting reconnaissance in the border area of the Belgorod region. Roman decided to destroy them. With a well-aimed VOG-25 drop, he shot down one of the vehicles, and then, realizing that he did not have enough time to equip and launch the second drone, he rammed his drone into the second hexacopter, destroying it.

It is specified that thanks to the professional actions of junior Sergeant Roman Golubin and his ability to quickly navigate the current situation, it was possible to save the lives and health of Russian servicemen.  

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told about the feat of Private Gennady Chernov, who, while carrying out tasks to destroy the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as an operator of FPV drones, acting in one of the directions in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), destroyed the equipment of Ukrainian militants.

It is emphasized that Private Chernov was tasked with destroying the "nomadic mortar", which fired at the supply routes of ammunition, food and materiel to units of Russian troops stationed in defensive positions. After receiving the intelligence, Gennady promptly lifted the FPV drone into the air and headed for the parking lot of the nomadic mortar. As he approached the target, Private Chernov saw that the enemy's crew was leaving their position, having detected the approach of a Russian drone. Skillfully maneuvering between the trees, Gennady caught up with the enemy's pickup truck and destroyed the crew of the "nomadic mortar" with an accurate hit of the drone into the ammunition.

Thus, thanks to the professional actions of Private Gennady Chernov, the calculation of the enemy's "nomadic mortar" was destroyed, which allowed the unhindered delivery of ammunition, food and property to Russian units.

The Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday, January 1, told about the exploits of Sergeant Vladlen Kurunov and junior Sergeant Evgeny Stolnikov. The ministry clarified that Kurunov saved two wounded colleagues by evacuating them under mortar fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and Stolnikov destroyed a Ukrainian assault group approaching the Russian positions.
