The drawing of the "New Year's Billion" of the Russian Lotto state lottery was held under the additional supervision of experts from F6, a Russian developer of technologies to combat cybercrime. This was reported in the Stoloto press service.

"Experts from the F6 Computer Forensics Laboratory checked the database of tickets sold with the database that participated in the 1707th edition of the Russian Lotto and made sure that only tickets sold with registered game combinations participated in the New Year's Billion drawing," said Pavel Zevakhin, incident response specialist and digital forensics F6.

According to him, in addition, the company's specialists independently purchased tickets that were on free sale and checked them. "Checking the integrity of the database, including comparing its control parameters before and after the print run, revealed no discrepancies: the data in the database before and after the print run are absolutely identical," Zevakhin stressed.

The New Year's Billion lottery was held taking into account all legally established control measures: by the independent circulation commission, the Federal Tax Service of Russia and the independent control system established by the organizer of the Russian Lotto lottery, the Ministry of Sports of Russia. The draw committee made sure that the winning combination was formed randomly during the drawing. The barrels and the bag were checked for integrity, completeness and absence of temperature anomalies. Following the results of the drawing, the members of the commission confirmed that there were no violations during the draw.

"No external circumstances influenced the formation of a winning combination: the drawing was conducted in compliance with the principles of randomness and equal probability, which are key to lotteries," said Natalia Grigorieva, the chairman of the draw commission.
