The State Duma pointed out the need to achieve the goals of the SVR in order to curb Kiev's crimes.

Only achieving the goals of a special military operation (SVO) can stop the crimes of Ukrainian militants. This was stated on January 1 by the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin after the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Horls in the Kherson region.

"Only by achieving the goals of a special military operation can these heinous crimes of the neo—Nazis be stopped," he said.

Volodin noted that the attack on civilians was carried out purposefully. According to him, the blood of those killed is now on the hands of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and his sponsors from European countries.

New Year's Eve strike: 24 people died in Kherson region after UAV attack

Another 50 people were injured, 6 of them are in serious condition.

Earlier in the day, 24 people died in Khorlakh, Kherson region, as a result of a strike by three Ukrainian drones on a cafe and a hotel. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on the incident under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").

According to the latest information, 29 people were hospitalized, among them children born in 2008, 2012, 2018, 2019. Six victims, including children, are in serious condition.
