The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), who went on the run, cut off their fingers with an axe because they did not want to return to the front. Roman Dubovik, a prisoner of war, told about this on Thursday, January 1.
"If they (the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters. — Ed.) they run away, they are brought back. <...> The boys cut their fingers there, who did not want to go here to fight," he said in an interview with the RIA Novosti news agency.
