The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 510 thousand people in 2025

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 510 thousand people killed and wounded in 2025. This became known on January 1 after analyzing the data published by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to RIA Novosti, the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered the greatest losses in January (51,960 people), March (47,665) and October (47,105). It is specified that the monthly average was approximately 42.7 thousand people.

Since the beginning of the special military operation (SVO) and until the end of 2025, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to: 669 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 106,194 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 641 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26,815 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,634 multiple rocket launchers, 32,275 field artillery guns and mortars, 50,464 units of special military vehicles.
