Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Russian citizens on the New Year and said that the future depends on everyone. The corresponding video was posted on the Kremlin's website on December 31, 2025.

He stated that he was confident in the fulfillment of all the hopes and plans that Russians have, and also stressed that the work, successes and achievements of everyone form new chapters in the millennial history of Russia. Putin separately congratulated the participants of the special military operation on the holiday and called on Russians to support them in word and deed.

"We are one big family together, strong and united, and therefore we will continue to work and create, achieve our goals, and move forward only for the sake of our children and grandchildren, for the sake of our great Russia," he said.
