A new tax payment has been introduced in the Russian Federation for families with two or more children

Starting from January 1, 2026, a family tax payment has been introduced for families with two or more children, which citizens are entitled to if their average per capita income does not exceed 1.5 regional subsistence levels.

It clarifies that potential recipients should not have alimony debts. The payment will be assigned by the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation and paid to each of the parents of children under 18 years of age, as well as up to 23 years of age in the case of full—time education in an educational organization.

Social support measures will affect citizens who are tax residents of Russia and permanently reside in the territory of the state.
