Muscovites shared their impressions of the festivities on the eve of the New Year

Moscow residents celebrate the New Year in a good mood and make plans for the future. Footage of New Year's Eve festivities on December 31 is published by Izvestia.

The festive mood is on VDNKH Square and Sheremetyevo Airport. Muscovites are having fun, lighting sparklers and congratulating each other on the upcoming New Year.

"I think it's a wonderful omen to change something in the new year, and even more so to spend it on trips, especially with loved ones and relatives. I would like to wish people not to stay static at all," said Victoria, who celebrates New Year's Eve at Sheremetyevo.

The footage also captures a solemn concert at VDNKH, which was watched by thousands of Muscovites and non-residents.
