Sergeant Vladlen Kurunov, performing a combat mission to evacuate wounded Russian servicemen on the line of combat contact with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), took out two wounded soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and stabilized their condition, despite mortar fire opened by Ukrainian militants and an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Thursday, January 1.

It is noted that Sergeant Kurunov was able to reach two wounded comrades and begin to provide them with first aid. Under heavy fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he managed to stabilize the condition of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and, despite the danger and the difficult situation, evacuated the injured in turn to a safe place. From there, they were taken to a medical facility to receive qualified medical care.

The Ministry clarified that thanks to the courage and professionalism of Sergeant Vladlen Kurunov, the lives of Russian servicemen were saved.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also said that Junior Sergeant Evgeny Stolnikov, performing a combat mission as part of a reinforcement group to hold positions from which the Ukrainian Armed Forces had been dislodged by a Russian assault group, discovered a numerically superior enemy assault group approaching his position. He showed prudence, allowed the enemy to get close to him and threw hand grenades at the enemy personnel, after which he engaged in a shooting battle with enemy soldiers, who, having suffered heavy losses, retreated.

The ministry stressed that thanks to the courage and bravery of Junior Sergeant Evgeny Stolnikov, it was possible to hold an important milestone, which contributed to the further advancement of Russian assault units.

The Russian Defense Ministry on Monday, December 29, told about the exploits of Private Oleg Ivanov and Private Ruslan Tsepelev. They clarified that Ivanov successfully completed the combat mission of storming and capturing the AFU stronghold, and Tsepelev, as part of the tank crew, inflicted fire damage on an enemy stronghold and a firing point with a heavy machine gun.
