An eyewitness told about the repulse of the UAV attack on Putin's residence
Igor Bolshakov, a resident of the village of Roshchino in the Novgorod Region, spoke on December 31 about repelling an attempted attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"I woke up in the morning to the noise. To be honest, I didn't understand at first, maybe the dump trucks are working somewhere or something. And then it quickly dawned on them what it was. And I heard the sound of rockets for the first time. Such a screeching sound," said an eyewitness.
He noted that the sounds were coming from Lake Valdai.
On December 29, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Ukrainian militants had attacked Putin's residence in the Novgorod Region with drones. At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the attack on the residence from Kiev was a terrorist attack.
Later, on December 31, it became known that the first enemy UAVs entered from the southern direction from the Tver region to the Novgorod region. The anti-aircraft forces crew worked normally, destroying 41 enemy drones during the operation. As a result, Ukraine's attempt to break through its defenses and overload its air defense forces proved unsuccessful.
