German automaker Porsche SE will recall 173.5 thousand cars due to problems with the rear-view camera, which does not display the image on the screen. This was reported on December 31 by the Reuters news agency, citing the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
It is specified that this will affect the Cayenne, Cayenne E-Hybrid, 911, Taycan, Panamera 2024-2025 model years, as well as the Panamera E-Hybrid 2025 model year. The NHTSA noted that these vehicles do not meet the requirements of the Federal Safety Standard.
In addition, as the agency notes, dealers will now update the software for free.
The Porsche Russland company, which is the official representative of the Porsche brand in Russia, confirmed on December 2 that in recent days it has recorded an increase in the number of applications from Russian owners of Porsche cars to dealers. It was clarified that the appeals were related to problems with starting the engine.
