Zakharova named leaders in the inadequacy of statements among Western politicians
Finnish politicians, including Finnish President Alexander Stubb, have become leaders in the inadequacy of statements in 2025. This was announced on December 31 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"According to the degree of inadequacy, it is possible to lead the statements of Finnish politicians who said that they almost defeated the Soviet Union," she said on Sputnik radio.
Zakharova noted that Finnish politicians continued to "rush between the forces of good and evil," trying to determine which side of history they should occupy. She stressed that it was thanks to Moscow's efforts that Finland "built itself into the right framework" and was able to secure decades of ignominious existence in the 20th century.
The diplomat also recalled that during the Second World War, Finland fought against the Soviet Union on the side of Nazi Germany, including participation in the siege of Leningrad and the creation of concentration camps in the occupied territories. However, in 1944 Helsinki changed its position and signed the Moscow Armistice, but only under pressure from the Red Army.
