In Yakutsk, a car drove into a pipeline and damaged heating networks, as a result, 23 houses were left without heat supply at -40 degrees. This was announced on December 31 in the press service of the Yakutsk thermal power plant (CHP) of the Yakutskenergo company.

"Today, on December 31, 2025, at 09:26 (03:26 Moscow time), an accident occurred in block 145, which required an immediate shutdown of the heating network section. The reason was the external impact of third—party equipment on the pipeline along Clara Zetkin Street," says the Telegram channel of the company.

It is specified that in the conditions of frost, all the forces of the repair services are now focused on the speedy restoration of heat supply. The emergency services of the Yakutsk CHPP immediately began to localize and eliminate the consequences. Repair crews are working on site. It is reported that the police are already aware of the incident.

The mayor of the city of Yurga, Alexey Fomin, reported on December 12 that an entire city in the Kemerovo region was left without heating due to problems at the thermal power plant.
