Rospotrebnadzor has received more than 10,000 requests on the safety of children's gifts

The All-Russian Rospotrebnadzor hotline on the quality and safety of children's goods and New Year's gifts received more than 10,000 requests. This was announced on December 30 in the press service of the department.

It is specified that consultations were held in all regions of Russia. As part of the annual campaign, specialists from the territorial bodies of Rospotrebnadzor organized seminars and lectures, including in a remote format. The classes were aimed at informing the public about the most frequent issues related to the safety of children. A total of 132 seminars, 492 lectures and 62 round tables were held.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, the topic of sweet New Year gifts accounted for 18.7% of requests. The second and third most popular questions are about the organization of children's events (18.6%) and the quality of children's clothing (10.7%). In addition, many questions were asked about the safety of children's toys, gadgets and shoes, as well as winter sports and entertainment.

The greatest interest in the department's consultations was shown in Tatarstan, Crimea, Bashkortostan, Moscow, Moscow, Rostov and Omsk regions, as well as Krasnodar and Stavropol territories.

Anton Trenin, an expert at the ACRA corporate ratings group, reported on December 28 that the average cost of a children's chocolate New Year's gift in Russia was 454 rubles. According to him, the standard set weighing about 550 g includes chocolate, candies, marshmallows and caramel.
