- The operator of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation spoke about the method of destroying the Baba-Yaga UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Calculations of the troops of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems of the motorized rifle regiment from the Dnepr group of forces destroy heavy drones of the Baba-Yaga type of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Orekhovsky direction. The footage was published on December 31 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It clarifies that the enemy is using powerful multi-purpose Baba Yaga drones to attack our advancing soldiers. These devices, controlled via Starlink satellite communications, are resistant to electronic warfare (EW) suppression.
Aerial surveillance posts detect them and transmit the coordinates to drone operators. The operators, in turn, intercept the Baba Yaga using a rope with cargo. Coming from above, they hook one of the enemy drone's propellers with a cable, which causes it to jam, lose control, and fall. This method allows you to destroy heavy enemy drones without risking your own drones.
"A simple device called a cable is clinging. Accordingly, our little "buddy" flies out on duty with a cable and, when detected, we try to shoot down our opponent as much as possible so that he causes us less problems," the senior operator with the call sign Bars shared the details.
On December 30, the Ministry of Defense reported that the operators of attack UAVs of the Vostok group of forces had identified and destroyed hexacopters and controls of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Gulyai-Pole. It was clarified that during the operation, heavy hexacopters of the Baba Yaga type were destroyed, as well as antennas and control points used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces for coordination.
