Vorobyov: in the Volokolamsk district, a fallen UAV caused an explosion, a man was injured

The air defense and electronic warfare forces of the Russian Defense Ministry destroyed 21 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in seven municipalities of the Moscow region, as a result of the fall of one UAV injured a person. This was announced on December 30 by the Governor of the Moscow region, Andrey Vorobyov.

"Today, in the Moscow region, air defense forces and electronic warfare systems shot down and suppressed 21 UAVs in seven municipalities — Ruza, Volokolamsk, Odintsovo, Mozhaisk, Naro-Fominsk districts, as well as in Istra and Chekhov. <...> One of the drones crashed in the village of Pagubino at about 19:00. <...> One person was injured. — the man is 57 years old," the message on the telegram channel says.

The governor clarified that the victim was promptly provided with all necessary assistance and an examination and initial treatment of wounds were carried out, after which the man was taken to a medical facility.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on the same day that the air defense forces had destroyed five UAVs flying in the direction of the capital. It was clarified that emergency services specialists are working at the crash sites.
