Zelensky announced discussions with the United States on the deployment of American troops in Ukraine

On December 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced a discussion with American leader Donald Trump about the presence of US military forces in the country.

"The US president must confirm this. These are US troops, and therefore it is the United States of America that makes such decisions. Of course, we are discussing this with President Trump and with representatives of the coalition of the willing," Zelensky said in response to a question from reporters about the possibility of deploying American troops in a chat room at his office on WhatsApp (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist in Russia).

According to the Ukrainian leader, this position was outlined in the security guarantees.
