The psychologist urged not to try to "outplay" the scammers
Candidate of Psychological Sciences Mikhail Khors recommended that citizens under no circumstances try to "outplay" phone scammers.
In conversation with aif.ru On Tuesday, December 30, he stressed that if there is the slightest doubt that a fraudster is in touch, you should immediately stop talking and not try to "overplay" the interlocutor or engage in any games with him.
The psychologist explained that intruders can record a person's voice and subsequently use it for their own purposes. In this regard, he recommended speaking as simply as possible in telephone conversations with strangers, avoiding complex formulations and long phrases.
On December 29, the Interior Ministry warned that New Year's cards received from unknown numbers should not be opened, as this could launch malicious code. Also, on the eve of the holiday, advertisements often come about the opportunity to buy a discounted gift, into which fraudsters can embed a virus.
