Criminal case opened in Kabardino‑Balkaria after prevented sabotage

A criminal case has been opened in Kabardino‑Balkaria on encroachment on the life of law enforcement officers and illegal arms trafficking. This was announced on December 30 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"On the night of December 30, 2025, employees of the FSB of Russia in the Kabardino‑Balkarian Republic took measures to detain a local resident, against whom the investigative unit of the security agency had previously opened a criminal case on preparations for sabotage. At the request of the staff to lay down their weapons and surrender, the suspect opened fire on the staff, and was therefore eliminated by return fire," the Telegram channel said.
