Former FC CSKA player Pyanic announced his retirement

Former midfielder of the Moscow football club (FC) CSKA Miralem Pjanic has completed his professional career. This was announced on December 30 by journalist Nicolo Schire.

Pjanic confirmed to Tuttosport: "I won't play anymore. I've finished my career. Now I live in Dubai and am no longer a football player, but the father of my young son: he is my priority," Skire wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Pjanic played for CSKA, as well as for Roma, Juventus, Barcelona, Metz, Lyon, Besiktas and Al Sharjah. As a member of CSKA, he won the Russian Cup, and with Juventus, he became a four—time Italian champion, Sport-Express reports.

On December 16, former CSKA and Russian national football team player Georgy Schennikov announced his retirement from sports. Schennikov left CSKA at the end of the 2022/23 season, when his contract expired. He has played for the Army throughout his career since 2008. In total, the 34-year-old defender played 367 matches for the Moscow team, scoring 10 goals and providing 15 assists.
