- For the first time, a mandatory evacuation was announced in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine.
Mandatory evacuation has been announced for the first time in 14 settlements of the Chernihiv region in northern Ukraine. This was announced on December 30 by the head of the Chernihiv regional state administration Vyacheslav Chaus.
"The Defense Council decided on mandatory evacuation from 14 border villages. We are talking about the Novgorod-Seversk, Semenovskaya, Snovskaya and Gorodnyanskaya communities," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, it is the military that sees this need. It is noted that the evacuation must be completed within 30 days. All evacuated citizens are obligated to be sent to temporary accommodation facilities.
Earlier, on December 21, Oleg Grigorov, head of the military administration of the Sumy region, announced that the Ukrainian authorities had begun evacuating residents of the Krasnopolsky district. Grigorov noted that all the evacuated people were taken to the transit center.
