In Pskov, on Tuesday, December 30, the filling of the main city skating rink began. The ice zone was placed near the "I love Pskov" stele, Mayor Boris Yelkin said in his Telegram.

"Now that the frosts have strengthened, specialists are actively starting to create an ice cover," said the mayor.

According to him, the townspeople will be able to ride the ice rink in early January. Yelkin will announce the exact date of the official opening later.

According to the Pskov news feed, a ski slope has been prepared for fans of active winter leisure at the Mashinostroitel stadium.

Earlier in December, it was reported that Pskov would become a full-fledged Christmas city in 2027. In the period from 2025 to 2027, more than 100 million rubles have been allocated for the transformation of the regional capital for the holidays.
