Japarov expressed concern over the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on Putin's residence
Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov expressed concern over the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the state residence of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region. This was announced on December 30 by the press secretary of the Kyrgyz leader Askat Alagozov.
"Japarov expressed extreme concern about reports of an attack on the state residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod Region," he wrote on his Facebook page (banned in Russia; owned by Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).
According to Japarov, such actions undermine the ongoing negotiation efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
On the same day, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during a telephone conversation with Putin, strongly condemned the provocative attack by Ukrainian drones on the state residence of the Russian president. During the conversation, the heads of state also exchanged congratulations on the upcoming New Year and discussed a number of important issues of bilateral relations.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on December 29 that Ukrainian militants had attempted a drone attack on the residence of the Russian leader in the Novgorod region. According to him, Russia's negotiating position will be reviewed in light of Kiev's attempt to attack the residence of the Russian president.
